They didn’t understand. But they never do. Sure, I could have taken Aeromexico and sipped my fizzy water and whisky in my first class accommodations all the way to Ciudad Mexico. I could have dealt with all of the elbows and polite excuses and taxis and . . . hassle.
But I didn’t. You know why? Because its not my way, it lacks Quality. I’ve never been the cruise-ship type, the all-inclusive resort that has everything except my interest. Too much safety, not enough space. Remember that time when the highway to La Paz narrowed down to a craggy goat path that was almost impassible. . . almost? In my world, there are no obstacles, only new challenges.
